Полиция Окинавы вызвала на допрос сотрудника военной базы США по делу о пропаже девушки
Полиция префектуры Окинава вызвала на допрос сотрудника американской военной базы в связи с исчезновением 20-летней девушки в городе Урума. Рина Шимабукуро пропала еще 28 апреля, сообщив бойфренду, что собирается на прогулку.
Вызванный на допрос 32-летний мужчина является гражданским лицом и добровольно проходит службу на одной из американских военных баз в Окинаве, сообщил агентству Kyodo источник, имеющий отношение к расследованию исчезновения девушки. После допроса он был арестован по подозрению в избавлении от трупа 20-летней жительницы префектуры Окинава, уточняет ТАСС со ссылкой на местную полицию. В Японии арест по такому обвинению обычно предшествует выдвижению обвинений в убийстве.
Шимабукуро, работавшая в одном из офисов в Уруме, пропала 28 апреля. Вечером перед исчезновением девушка связалась со своим бойфрендом через бесплатное приложение для обмена сообщениями и сообщила, что собирается на прогулку.
На следующий день парень заявил в полицию о пропаже девушки. Полицейские обнаружили, что Шимабукуро оставила дома бумажник и машину. По этой причине следователи предполагают, что девушка стала жертвой преступления или несчастного случая. По данным GPS в смартфоне Шимабукуро, ее последним подтвержденным местом нахождения была промышленная зона в Уруме.
С 1972 года на Окинаве располагаются американские войска на военных базах, которые занимают около 18% территории острова. Американское военное присутствие вызывает недовольство у жителей Японии. Это связано в том числе с рядом инцидентов с участием военнослужащих США. К примеру, в марте 2016 года американский военнослужащий в отеле на Окинаве изнасиловал подвыпившую туристку.
В конце 2012 года двое моряков были арестованы на Окинаве в пьяном виде за изнасилование и ограбление местной жительницы. Тогда японский МИД потребовал от США обеспечить соблюдение своими военнослужащими общественного порядка на территории Японии. Американское военное командование после этого инцидента объявило комендантский час для всего своего воинского контингента в стране и наложило полный запрет на употребление спиртного за пределами баз.
